The Ultimate Smoky Mountain Experience. Located at the top of the SkyLift, the Gatlinburg SkyBridge is 680 feet long AND the longest pedestrian cable bridge in North America! With a height of 140 feet at its midpoint, the SkyBridge is an incredible but easily attainable experience you’ll remember for a lifetime – especially as you cross the 30 feet of glass-floor panels in the middle of the span.

You can find other bridges and spans, but there’s only one Gatlinburg SkyBridge and it will be the one photo you’ll want to share with family and friends after your trip.

You can also hike on the new SkyTrail, relax on our expansive SkyDeck while taking in the highest peaks in the Smoky Mountains, or grab some food and refreshments in the SkyCenter’s two-story building.

The Smoky Mountain National Park is the Country’s most visited national park hosting well over 12 million Visitors per year. Yes, vastly surpassing annual visitation to The Grand Canyon & Yellowstone.

The Smoky Mountain National Park is known for its hundreds of miles of hiking, breathtaking beauty and it’s Magical Smoky Haze, Ridge upon ridge of forest straddles the border between North Carolina and Tennessee in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. World renowned for its diversity of plant and animal life, the beauty of its ancient mountains, and the quality of its remnants of Southern Appalachian mountain culture.

Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail: Scenic Drive & A Waterfall Wonderland

Its name derived from a “roaring” mountain stream, the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail twists and turns for six miles, forming a one-way looping scenic drive through the Great Smoky Mountains. The narrow roadway only allows cars—trucks, trailers. Unfortunately, RVs cannot fit on this road. Drive along the road and immerse yourself in the mossy green rocks and boulders as you gaze at the water rushing through the mountains.

The drive on the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail begins at the Noah “Bud” Ogle farmstead, where you can take a walking tour of the historic buildings and pick up a tour map of the roadway sights. Also, the trailhead for Rainbow Falls can be found just beyond the farmstead, a moderate 3-mile hike to a stunning 80-foot waterfall that will reward you with its radiance and beauty.

Cades Cove Scenic Drive

The Cades Cove Loop winds for 11 miles and is a broad, verdant valley surrounded by mountains and is one of the most popular destinations through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a picturesque drive with a backdrop of the mountain peaks and its lush, rolling greens. Europeans settled the Cades Cove area between 1818 and 1821. Today, visitors to Cades Cove can enjoy the largest variety of historic buildings in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. When traveling the scenic loop road, plan to get out and visit the restored buildings that include three churches, log homes, cantilevered barns, and a working mill.

Dollywood, Pigeon Forge

Dollywood is a theme park jointly owned by entertainer Dolly Parton and Herschend Family Entertainment. It is located in the Knoxville-Smoky Mountains metroplex in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Hosting nearly 3 million guests in a typical season from mid-March to the Christmas Holidays, Dollywood is the biggest ticketed tourist attraction in Tennessee.

In addition to standard amusement park thrill rides, Dollywood features traditional crafts and music of the Smoky Mountain area. The park hosts a number of concerts and musical events each year, including appearances by Dolly Parton and her family as well as other national and local musical acts. It is also the site of the Southern Gospel Museum and Hall of Fame.

The theme park is the anchor of Parton’s 150-acre (61 ha) Dollywood amusement destination, which also includes the 35-acre (14 ha) sister water park Dollywood’s Splash Country the 20-acres.
